Fraxel™
Fraxel Dual is a non-ablative laser treatment that targets sun damage, pigmentation and surface scars, creating healthier, smoother skin. It can also help reduce pre-cancerous spots called actinic keratosis a skin condition associated with excessive sun exposure. Fraxel targets different layers of the skin with two wavelength options, 1927 for pigmentation and 1550 that penetrates to the dermis for collagen production. Unlike ablative laser that has a longer healing period, Fraxel does not remove skin tissue making this an attractive option for patients to recover over a long weekend.
Fraxel™ Facial
Dr. Michalak developed Fraxel Facial and Fortified Fraxel Facial, better known as “baby” Fraxel for individuals looking to boost the radiance of their skin and diminish minor pigmentation. Similar to Clear and Brilliant, Dr. Michalak created these treatment years before there were any options like this available. This non-ablative option incorporates the Fraxel Dual laser at lower energy settings with an added boost of fast acting topical ingredients to stimulate collagen and provide antioxidant protection. This is a more gentle treatment, with minimal downtime.
Laser Dynamic Therapy
Laser Dynamic Therapy (LDT)is used in dermatology for the treatment of sun-damage and acne. Similar to photodynamic therapy, LDT uses a light-sensitive medication like aminolevulinic acid in conjunction with pulsed dye laser to improve the health of the skin. The medication is applied topically and allowed to “incubate” on the skin for a specific time period then activated by the laser. LDT can be used on the face, scalp, neck, chest or anywhere that has sun-damage or acne. This is a popular preventative treatment recommended for patients with a history of excessive sun exposure including pre-cancerous spots or previous skin cancer like basal cell or squamous cell carcinoma.
Nail Fungus Treatment
Nail fungus can be an embarrassing, and sometimes painful condition to bear. Scientifically known as onychomycosis, nail fungus occurs when fungi infect one or more of your nails. Symptoms of nail fungus range from the crumbling and changing in color of the nail, to foul odor and separation of the nail from the nail bed. Once the infection has damaged and misshapen the nail, the area can become quite painful.
GentleLASE
The Candela GentleLASE is a non-ablative laser used to treats a variety of pigmentation issues common in dermatology. Also known as Alexandrite laser, the GentleLASE has high-energy and a long pulse making this an ideal choice for darker pigmentation issues that have a brown or purple hue. Alexandrite is also a popular for permanent hair reduction in skin types from fair to olive. This laser has an added protective cooling burst of cryogen that helps with comfort during the treatment or DCD (Dynamic Cooling Device) technology.
TotalFX
TotalFX with the Lumenis UltraPulse laser combines the benefits of the ActiveFX and DeepFX treatments to provide the ultimate dramatic results in a single procedure. As a fractional laser, the Lumenis Ultrapulse is applied to the tissue in columns, to resurface and tighten the skin.
VBeam
Vbeam is a vascular laser and the gold standard for treating a variety of conditions related to redness in the skin. The treatment is non-invasive and has been used safely on patients for years with excellent results. We use the Vbeam Perfecta for other highly requested treatments like scar suppression, laser dynamic therapy (LDT) and post filler bruising. Scar suppression is excellent for helping patients improve scars after surgery and a common concern for exposed areas like face, neck, chest and arms.
