Fraxel Laser is a well-established treatment for a variety of common skin issues, and popular for superior results. This treatment is non-ablative vs. ablative skin resurfacing meaning it does not remove tissue at the skin’s surface. Instead tiny columns penetrate into the skin, creating a micro-injury. This in turn stimulates your skins healing response and where the magic happens.
Fraxel helps with:
- Sun damage in the form of “brown spots”
- Hyperpigmentation
- Skin textural problems
- Fine lines & Wrinkles
- Acne scars, or other types of scars
- Stretch marks
Why Patients Love This Treatment
- You can see a difference in your first treatment.
- There is more than one benefit; improved texture and a glow to the skin are often the most satisfying.
- It’s quick. The treatment takes under one hour.
- It’s customized. CSDI offers Fraxel, Fortified Fraxel, and Fraxel Facial. The latter two treatments include the addition of antioxidants, and a growth factor. This helps to deliver ingredients deeper into the skin.
- Minimal downtime. There is no need to take time off work and recovery looks like a sunburn, taking about a week for the entire process.
Fortified Fraxel Facial
Fortified Fraxel Facial is a clever adaptation using the Fraxel Laser created by Dr. Michalak, who recognized that not everyone needs a standard Fraxel treatment.
The energy settings are lowered, then several passes are made over your skin followed by topical antioxidants. Microchannels make the skin more permeable so we can then enhance the treatment by applying topical antioxidants. A second step is an option to add topical growth factors, helping collagen stimulation and healing.
Fraxel vs. Peels
Often patients start out with peels as an entry level to skin rejuvenation then desire more but still want to keep downtime minimal. Fraxel’s are a good choice to accomplish this. Peels do have limitations and can take longer to show results for things like pigmentation.
Leslie Carney, Licensed Master Aesthetician, working under the supervision of Dr. Michalak, performs all three types of Fraxels. Dr. Michalak, or someone from the advanced healthcare team are available for Fraxel only.
Leslie offers complimentary skin care consultations and is happy to discuss this treatment, or any of the treatments she offers.
